I have acquired a magura brake second hand so I don’t know if this is designed behaviour or a fault…

If the lever is pulled outwards, the piston – the one on the lever that is – seems to be slightly out of line with the cylinder it’s going into. As the lever is squeezed it there is an audible pop as it clicked into alignment.

When the lever is released it usually doesn’t come all the way out to the point where the piston is out of alignment. So, no pop when squeezing it again either. But the brake seems to be dragging slightly.

Is this normal then? Just needs a bleed? Or a bigger problem?

I’m pretty sure my m4 levers do this as well, i also think my juicys do this as well

That’s reassuring. I think one side might do it more than the other though in my case (need to check!).
