I need a single speed freewheel for flip flop hub. 18/19 teeth but main thing is loud!

The louder the click the better. I don’t want to fit a bell to my commuter.

    Any recommendations, cheaper the better.

For pure Zzzzzzzzz you need a W.I. trials but those aren’t cheap.

How much for those white industry ones😳

The bell does not go with the look. Vanity over sanity every time.

These are loud (and solid) Trials riders use them…

If you think the WI ones are pricy, check out this Echo one…

My mate has a Superstar hub, it makes a right racket.

Token Chromo is pretty good – getting on for WI quality but half the price

Recently got a Halo Clickster which is reasonably loud, in a screaming bees kind of way.

Another vote for the Halo Clickster, loud swamrmy type buzz and mine has been as indestructible as the WI on the other bike for less then half the price. It’s as loud as a none trials WI too.

    Clickster +1

Although for commuting I have it flipped to the fixed side, freewheel is for fun and hills!

And “The bell does not go with the look. Vanity over sanity every time.”

You think : sleek minimalist and efficient

Normal people think : it’s a bike, so what?

Other cyclists think : bloody fair weather commuters, you won’t be out in November without guards and a dynamo will you? Toughen up hipster.

WI for admiring swoons; Clickster for perfectly functional.

    Lol @thisisnotaspoon,

I think: I want a bike I like the look of.

Other people think: absolutely nothing as most people have better things to give a toss about than a bloke on a bike going to work.

Oh and single speed as cheaper and more reliable during winter, but yeh bloody hipsters.

I’ll have a think about that clickster. I was hoping for really cheap and cheerful but guessing that may be a false economy.

I dunno, the OEM one on my plug did a lot of miles by the looks of it, I did 1000 miles and it was well worn when I got it and it still engaged perfectly until the chain was practically running on the shell. It’s old enough that I can’t read the markings to work out what it was!

Avoid <£15 freewheels though it’s a false economy both in terms of longevity and quality, they don’t last half as long and they engage very vaguely. For £30 the clickster lasts well and works well, a bargain considering just a SS sprocket on its own is usually £15!
