The series dates are confirmed and entries open.   Yes it’s a pain to get to, but also provides for the SE Regionals on June 9th.

Race entry and Race dates 2024

Always amazes me what the team come up with in limited space with the addition of the criss-cross bridge last year, I wonder if they’ll be a new feature this year.

I’m speaking in behalf of other people here so I apologies if my facts are slightly askew I mean no offence, I am not part of the organisation.

Anyway, unfortunately after many years of carrying on the legacy of Eastway the Beastway series has folded.   The long and the short of it is an unfortunate perfect storm of life changes etc from the core group of organisers, dwindling entrants and no replacement volunteers (admittedly at short notice) means it cannot be held safely, and its main organiser cannot do all the work himself.

This is extremely sad.   Wednesday nights racing was a great opportunity for London MTBers, and as mentioned the for Eastway circuit – under the Olympic site – held a venue for many a high level MTB and Road racer alike, there are some very famous names that raced there.  A real shame to see it go. 😢

I only hope Micheal can generate enough enthusiasm and willing volunteers to re establish the series in 2025.

Micheal if you are reading this, Thankyou for you years of hard work and campaigning to keep this alive, I and I’m sure others wish you the best for the future.
