anyone know what time frame local authorities are supposed to reply to a query in, or where I can find details of this?
and/or where one would find details of bylaws that may be in place restricting cycling?
    TIA

    Hi
I work for a local authority and there is no easy answer.
My department has a one day response others are different within the authority even when responding internally!!!!
Doesn’t help you much I suppose but there should be laid down standards for each dept in service plans, public commitments etc
    Cheers

our local one is only contactable by web form now. They have a minimum resolve time of 10 working days for all queries / contacts from the public but all the recent interactions have required me to remind them of this at c15 working days, and then a further 10-15 days before actually getting a reply – so typically 25+ working days even when the original contact is to tell them the bin men haven’t collected our rubbish for 4 weeks.

    Useless doesn’t come close.
