    Whilst working like a dog this afternoon….

    I managed to watch King Kong 1933 for the first time.

    This version has all the edits and censor cut put back in. If you get a chance to watch or spot it on the schedules again it’s a great film 🙂

    It’s remarkable to think this is now 86 years old. One can only imagine the experience of seeing this at the cinema back in 1933.
    I watched it too this afternoon on BBC2. Would children watch this sort of thing now and in black and white which we seldom see on tv now.

    Yes, I never understood Peter Jackson’s desire to remake it (and especially, to cast Jack Black in it). I saw the remake at the cinema because I was deluded into believing Jackson was a genius and would make something awesome, but then spent the whole time wondering what the point of remaking it was.
