MegaSack DRAW - This year's winner is user - rgwb
We will be in touch
While driving through Kidderminster yesterday, I found myself following a car which had a sticker on the back window that said:
Just wait until you see the <span style="text-decoration: underline;">front!</span>
It looked like it had been applied at the showroom when the car was new, and the owner had just never taken it off. For some reason.
100 car nerd points to anyone that can guess the model of this fine chariot. (clue 1: it is not a particularly fine chariot)
Fiat Uglipla
Multipla?
well that was quicker than i expected! 😆
50 car nerd points each. It was a Multipla. A 2003 reg, so presumably someone has been driving round with that sticker dominating their rear view for 15 years now....
Lot of love for the Multipla on here.
Only downside is that they're pretty wide for the narrow lanes round here so I went for a Doblo. Just as ugly and practical. 🙂
We had a (slightly) more normal looking Mk2. Fabulous flexibility and storage and it didn't suffer from the terrible reversing view that was a feature of the 3x2 Honda FRV .
I only gave it up because so bought a van.

that was the one. I kind of admire the boldness of the design. It still looks like a child's drawing though!
does it actually have 3 seats across the front?
Absolutely horrendous, the only saving grace is that most will be rust or scrap now and we can finally eradicate that model from the roads. unfortunately not the multiple line altogether. Even the name of the thing. It implies that you buy one then proceed to produce a family with 8 children.

Yep - and all a decent size. The rear row was also three and you could remove them individually to give a pretty cavernous space. 4 folk with bikes and luggage - all carried internally - was easily possible.
The dash layout was pretty funky too.

We had one of those as a hire car in Cape Town about 12 years ago!
We didn’t get carjacked, though, so that’s a positive.....
The Honda FRV was supposed to have been inspired by that design.... Oh dear!
