    Spent most of a bike packing trip on my Diverge thinking the TRP Spyres need to go, they are ok if fettled in the last few hours but a 7 hour ride in a Dartmoor downpour didnt make me want to get out the allen keys to adjust them so braking was shite, especially the next day. Full hydraulic would be nice but spendy. Anyone tried the Juin Tech brakes? X1 is an updated R1 I think.
    Thoughts and or reviews appreciated.

    I’ve had them all on several bikes BB5 BB7 – Juin R1 – TRP Hr/Rd

    TRPs all round best in terms of power / reliability, if a little bulky / weighty.

    Now have these, cheaper than 2x X1s?;

    Had R1s on a second hand bike and they were excellent right up to the time they were not.
    If I could have serviced them I would have and the agents were no help so I changed to er Spyres.
    The Juin on the front began to fade and if left out in the sun the pads would be rubbing the disc. No amount of adjustment could get it working right. The rear just kept working so one out of two.

    Have you tried a selection of pads in your Spyres? I was out yesterday and got thoroughly wet and my Spykes held up well although the weather on Woodbury Common and its environs are not a patch on Dartmoor weather with added granite mud.

    F1’s are ~£150 for a pair…. apparently I have flat mount whatever that is.

    I have some sintered pads at moment,not sure tbh. The stock pads disintegrated in 1 muddy ride.
