he has to be the most underrated rider in the uk – nobody seems to talk about him (obviously spesh have seen it though which is all that matters) – hes definitely going to be up there in the next few years

NOt sure about that in my opinion. Every junior DH race is talked about between him and Jackson. But obviously until they get to Elite age, they’re not an elite rider…. But it was always a matter of waiting till him and Jackson reached the required age.

It’s an interesting move isn’t it. Seems like he’s heaped pressure on himself going to spesh with Loic and Finn who both seem to have pretty big egos (not in a bad way just a very competitive racing way).

Strongest team in DH now?

Aside from not having a woman, obvs.

One of them is leaving though by the looks of it .

It’ll be interesting to see how Williams deals with the move up to Elite. When Finn Isles moved up he was very much hyped as the Next Big Thing and it took him a while to bed in and start getting results rather than doing half to three quarters of a blistering run and then stacking it.

That said, even if Williams goes through a similar process of finding his feet (and why should he not?), Specialized are going to be an even formidable team in a couple of years time.

I wonder how much of that is down to bike changes when riders move up ? There’s obviously a difference between the Saracen and the Specialized, so may take time to get used to it ? But i can’t see any real reason him and Jackson won’t be right on the pace out of the gate, esepcially as there’s 6 months till race 1 in WCs.
I can see national races and classes being stacked full of Pros this season. Jordan still rocked up to a fair few Pearce races last year, including in his World Champs kit 🙂 so will be interesting to see how many of the nationals in UK/France etc are filled up with Pros getting time in between the tape.

We’d have had the “parting ways with…” press release in December if Loic or Finn were leaving Spesh, wouldn’t we?

It’s great news for Jordan and race fans to be honest. I still think the title is Amaury’s to loose but I think the likes of Jackson and Jordan will be threatening podiums.

Madison Saracen have relaunched their development team for 2023 to hopefully bring through more great young riders like Jordan.

Indeed and it’s a very very good team for 2023. All of them I expect to see on the podium a fair bit.

Would be great if Jordan and Jackson do throw themselves straight into the Elite podiums, but every Junior winner gets the hype and can take a while to deliver consistently, last one being Thibaut Daprela. Hes obviously FAF with some top results but not getting near Amaurys results (yet) .

Thibaut Daprela. Hes obviously FAF with some top results but not getting near Amaurys results (yet) .

He’s won a World Cup race and got a couple of seconds and thirds.

He’s at the very sharp end and is absolutely one of the guys who can win on any given weekend.

There’s only one rider on Amaury’s level in men’s elite and that’s Loic.

Given that its pretty common knowledge in the paddock that Will Longden is an absolute whopper, its hardly shocking news.

That said, I’m not sure who is the bigger one between him & Mr Langhan. Good case of karma doing it’s thing 😆

I’d presume Spesh have bought Jordan out of his contract. I’ve asked if that’s the case, but I doubt he’ll reveal that in the PB comments.

Danny’s departure was somewhat acrimonious a couple of years ago IIRC.

Even I’ve heard that and I’m well distanced from racing these days. I’d love to have seen him and Paul Hart going at it. The other great legendary whopper of UKDH.

I’d heard about the historic friction within the Madison/Saracen team but it’s rumours and you never know where they come from or who’s actually in the wrong. The news that a rider would leave the team that supported them to a World Champs early suggests that there’s probably something in it.

Having said that, the move to Spesh and the opportunity to work with Loic/Finn would have been very hard to resist so who knows.

I know its a bit of a cliche to be unable to mention Jordan without mentioning Jackson…

But with similar skill set/ability, and seemingly similar personality etc.

Its clear that Jackson’s career got a huge boost last year via the Syndicate. Hopefully Jordan will be able to replicate this with the big S. Although, a lot of Loic and Finn’s media expossure seems to be Redbull rather than Specialised led.

I think both of them will be Superstars of the sport and both go on to do exceptionally well both on and off DH racing..

It’s a big ask switching teams when jumping from junior to elite and still keeping up with the big boys, good luck, I wish him well but I’m not expecting instant podiums, same goes for Jackson, but he’s already settled in the team so slightly different, getting wins from junior to elite would be impressive, getting titles from junior to elite puts you on a short list, Nico and Vali are the only ones that spring to mind. No pressure Jordan 😀
