Thanks for the review guys, had my eye on these shoes but wondered about sizing (no-one local has them on the shelf).
Can you compare them to specialized sizing, or shimano perhaps? I'd heard buy a half size bigger...
I'm a 43 (9) in Specialized and Northwave shoes, but a 10 (44 2/3rds?) in Mavic.
While we're on the subject, why do Mavic, a French company, use British sizes, but everyone else (American, Japanese, European, everyone) uses Euro sizes? Makes me mad.
Hi - i have found i need the same size for mavic and shimano, but the mavic are noticably narrower - if you get from CRC or wiggle you can change, bit of a hastle and not as good as being able to compare fit in a shop - but you will save money!!

Cheers. I am a UK size 8 / Euro 42 and that is what the pair that I reviewed in the mag are. The Mavics fit me width wise and are slightly longer than I need. In Shimano I use a Euro 43 to get more width, but do get more length than I need (this could get smutty).
It all depends on your feet, so really buying from a shop is your best bet here.
HTH.
Cheers!
I can get a good price from a local shop that i'm sort of employed by, but if they don't fit there's no returning them, so i'd have to fiddle about selling them second hand before i could order the right size.
Risk worth taking though, i'm fed up trekking up and down hills in carbon fibre metal studded disco slippers, carbon on granite doesn't sound nice!
Yep, I'd go up a size if you're unsure. I'm a classic 43 in Shimano and Spesh, but found the 43 Mavics a tiny bit shorter than I'd like.
