    As per the title really!

is it possible to set up an old smartphone as a remote inclinometer and to wirelessy transmit the live data to another smartphone, by wifi, bluetooth or even SMS?

I’m sure there must be but cannot find anything on Google.

An ESP32 and an accelerometer might be easier.

Have a look at tilt hydrometers for homebrewing, lots of diy plans that cost about £30 to make (smartphone not needed), they take the angle and convert that to a liquid density so just look at the programming and remove those last few steps.
