That alerts you to films whose reviews you enjoyed making it to your local cinema, or onto a streaming service/dvd.

I’ve lost count of the number of reviews I’ve read in the press, or actors I’ve seen on talk shows, to then never actually seeing the film. I’d love a way to log it and have it notified, without adding to my “he loves an XL grid” credentials!

I use an app called Just Watch, works pretty well for this but I often forget about it when trying to decide what to watch.

There’s always IMDB, not sure if you can set up alerts though.

Or follow on FB, Twitter… its all about the spocial media these days.

IMDB emails are proper spammy, btw. Very annoying.

I use an app called Letterboxd, this doesn’t do what you want it to, but it does allow you to add films to a watch list, so you can at least narrow down your searches.

I use JustWatch website to fathom out where/how to watch a particular film/series. You need to know what you’re looking for though unless of course the app incorporates methods to make recommendations.
