INTERNATIONAL OUT OF AREA phone calls

What is the point?

Has anybody ever bought anything as a result of one*?

*Other than a big ####ing air horn?

It’s a numbers game isn’t it, like spam. They don’t need a high %age take-up, so long as they make enough calls.

Bloody annoying.

I try to waste as much time, and cost them as much as possible…

“Do you have Sky”

“Have I got the sky? I don’t understand.”

“Do you have sky in your house”

“No I don’t have the sky in the house, the sky is outside, in the… well, in the sky.”

They hang up eventually but sometimes you can keep them going for ten minutes or so…

The phone is in my partners name, so I always answer truthfully the ‘Hello, is that Mr Lees?’ question with a ‘No’ as we aren’t married so that’s not me. This almost always gets a response of ‘oh sorry, bye’ and a ring off.

Strikes me as really strange, I’d have expected a little more persistence.

‘International’ flashes on the phone so just ignore (stops after 6 rings)
