A very nice postman brought me a big box filled with this today. I excitedly unpacked it, chucked it together and went out for a ride. It’s very lush and I’m really liking it. Now, it could be me and my squinty eyes, but the stem just doesn’t look quite in line with the front wheel. No problem, it’ll just take a second to loosen the stem bolts and straighten things up.

    Loosen the stem bolts……

    Where are the stem bolts?

    Help??

It came with a manual, right? Not saying you didn’t think of that.. just that it’s not good if it didn’t have that info when it was delivered.

Ahem, it did come with a manual. I even admired the lovely embossed folder it came in, before I chucked it into a corner of the garage. Thank you. I genuinely hadn’t thought of that. 😳

I’m just going to nip out to the garage now. 😁

    Pffft!

Manual is useless, but it does come in a really lovely embossed folder. 🤷

Had another look at the stem when I was in the garage. Could it be some sort of semi integrated headset and stem? All the cables seem to go into it.

Loosen top bolt and adjust? Possibly tucked under a hidden cap.

That top cap looks like it might be a pinch-bolt/clamp type of thing. Can you loosen it from the top ?

It’s a nice looking fancy bike.
Having said that, I’d love it if it turned out the headset top bearing cover was just a rubber cover hiding 2 large nuts, and it was in fact a quill stem.
It can’t be long until we go full circle, surely?!

Edit: this picture of a different Bianchi system suggests to me there might be a big fat cover thing going on

This bit will be a plastic cover that pulls off to reveal the top cap and stem bolts.

I just checked and squared my bar up properly. Thanks everyone and @bensales for the win. It is indeed a cover to hide the bolts and increase the aerodynamics of the bike. It’s all about those marginal gains you know. Especially when you’re north of 50yrs and 100kg of wibbly bits.

    😏

    Glad you’re sorted, it’s a lovely bike.
