trail rat – no idea when the 200TD1 was put in.
As you rightly point out in 88 it would have been a 19J originally.
It is an original SW though
(VIN: SALLD H (110″) M (Defender 5 door Station Wagon) B 7 (I think it has an R380 in it) EA325xxx)
Checker plate is staying – I think it’s load bearing now 🙂
Lamp bar is coming off, I shall refurb it then put it on eBay.
The bulk head is a bit rusted at the A pillars – going to grind and patch that. The bulk head in the seat wells/engine bay is still just about OK, but will get kurusted/painted/waxoiled of the summer.
Im afraid it’s called a “Defender” because it is “Fender” from one of Son#1 books.
When I get all geeky about it, I might too wince at it not being called a 110″. But not till then.
Back with some ramps from dad’s, so I shall change all the fluids later this week. Oh joy. That’s £100 of juice. At least it runs much more quietly now that the exhaust takes the approved route out of the block…
Oh, and those ridiculous wheels are coming off, for some 6.5″ steels and some new mainly road style rubber.
