My brake cables need 10-15cm cutting from them, i’ve never sliced hydraulic cable before, do you need one of those jazzy cutters the SRAm video guy uses to do it, or can i get away with an uber sharp knife and park tool?

boggo standard Avid cables not metal braided..

I use a Park cable cutter. Cuts gear cables brilliantly and will also slice through braided hose.

Think a nice sharp Stanley/kitchen knife (sush, don’t tell the missus) should give you a cleaner cut.
