I bought a pair of 27.5 Trail Wides back the end of April. Unexpected chance of a Curtis frame 😎 came up . The only way I could justify it was by stripping down my Onza Jackpot. One in one out 🤔Contacted Ian at Hunt regarding their 60 day ride and return policy. True to their word , I boxed them up arranged for Fed Ex to pick them up from home! Paid for by Hunt as well and the next day my replacement wheels turn up ! 👍

I guess they don’t like doing that too often, I should imagine they lose money on the deal ?

I’d send them a cheque for what I reckoned I’d cost them.

That seems a bit mean to Hunt if you rode them for a bit and decided to change bike and send them back. I.e. it wasn’t that you didn’t like the wheels / had an issue with them – but then if that’s their policy they can’t complain though.

If the new frame is 29er then maybe buy some 29er Hunt wheels to make up for it?

If he asked and they said it was ok then why not. To me a line would have been crossed if at the moment he bought them you knew you were doing to send them back

I read it as they swapped the 27s for 29s for him, so already has some new Hunt 29ers?

dont they do a similar scheme with their bikes?

I assume its a numbers game and 99% of the time they dont get returned, but it must be a right faff with lots of associated cost when someone does.

does a moral compass need to be engaged if you are just using the offer a company provides? more fool them? maybe? I dunno….. just shootin the breeze 🙂

I’ll second Hunts good service, bought some wheels for my Dad’s build to cut his procrastination time down.

He needs 141 QR rear and 110 QR front for the frame he has, not only did Hunt have them as a stock option but also took the time just to double check with me as its a fairly unusual sizing and the don’t get asked for them that often.

They then dispatched same say and threw in some skewers to assist with the build.

    Thumbs up from me

One more for the hunt appreciation group.
sorted some replacement nipples and the correct tools. Came next day too. Live chat was very helpful.

Their service is brilliant. I’ve dealt with them a couple of times. Never any quibble – and where the product has not always been perfect…it has always been resolved thoroughly and quickly.

Nah, they’ll sell them off via the seconds page (as above) and cover their own costs
