The chain in question is a cheap KMC one – only other markings on it are 'Z' which appears to be a generic branding for a number of different chains.

Widest part of the outside body of the chain is 1/4" and it's being used on what appears to be a standard 36t chainring.

Can i assume if that is the case that it's a 3/32th ?

"The width (1/8 or 3/32) is the internal width where the sprocket teeth fit in"
