Rode past this on Sunday – yer genuine idyll. Slap bang in the middle of the devils punch bowl, 2 mile track to the main road, wildlife all over the shop.

My parents almost bought it, I can’t really complain though, they only live the other side of Gibbett hill

was that used in a TV drama a couple of years back? pics 11-13 seem v. familiar. something modern day but with flashbacks of spies and WW2.

I could think of better things to spend £700000 on TBH. That house is too quaint and too expensive. Couldn’t lean bikes up in the hall or bash nails into the wall to hang tools on.

While for that money you could get an estate up here, it’s not a bad price for that area of Surrey – and loads of mtb-ing straight out of the door.

I know the one you mean, woman lived there, someone, maybe the woman was a russian agent, still had old papers, daughter (maybe) started somehow snooping about her past?

nice little place. I pass it at least once a week. still too expensive even though it started life at over a million. can only be accessed by a 4×4 on a good day so a pain for everyday living. I think they are trying to appeal to the bankers (50mins on train to waterloo) who want a country weekend pad and have their bonus burning a hole in their pocket. ideal for mtb’ing though, agreed

Tried but could only find this:

    Not posh borders

Not sure what you’d do with the change though.

Only 3 beds and you have to live within 50 miles of London? **** that, you could get a better house for half the money somewhere with proper riding. Like where I live 🙂

I want that Scottish estate. Best play the lottery.

When I win I’ll buy it and ban any hunting on my land

Houns, hunting is already banned, remember 😉

Of course, if you meant stalking, then I suspect SNH would come in and do it against your will, then send you the bill

The changing room and helicopter hanger look like the beginnings of the worlds greatest bike shed though 😀
