Shimano XTR RD-M952 90mm Cage rear Mech is damaged.
Got one of these which is set up on a bike with 8 speed cassette and XTR triple at front.
As its damaged, are there any other 90mm length cage mechs as a suitable substitute, need to keep the triple but could change to 9 speed casstte at a pinch?

Any 9 speed mech will do it, and work fine with 8 speed transmission (the M952 was a 9 speed mech anyway).
90mm could be medium cage (GS) or long cage (SGS), I'd have a stab at SGS - but check the product code on the mech to be sure.

SGS seems longer at 115mm but I will have a look at shadow type which may be shorter?

The actual length is immaterial frankly. Any GS (if that's what you have) or SGS mech will work fine, as long as it's a 9 speed Shimano one.
