Was cleaning my headset, and removing a years worth of grime and kak from the bearing "wheel" (Not sure of it's name) cleaned out the race, and then realised I had a problem!

I have a bit of paper towl with all the bits, in the order in which they came off, and in their correct orientation, but…..

I've been a plank and not made a note of which way round the bearings went in! Does the side with the bearings raised above the "wheel" sit facing into the head tube, or away (i.e. towards the wheel and stem)?

    Thanks!
