Anyone offer any useful advice on washing machines, please?

The offending item is a Candy Alise washer dryer, about 4 yrs old.
    Its stopped.
It has a power problem. If isolated from the mains and reconnected, the control panel illuminates as expected, the door is unlocked etc. If any program is selected, the machine appears to start correctly, different lights illuminate the door locks and it takes on water…. but only for around 10secs, then it dies, stops dead, all lights out, no response from the control panel….. two minutes later the door will unlock. The machine cannot be coaxed to react at all, until disconnecting/reconnecting from the mains. After leaving disconnected for hours, the machine performed for approx. 40secs, however immediately after that its runtime was reduced to again under 10secs.

    What is wrong with it?

Thought this was a “Zombie Washing machine” thread.
    Is disappoint.

Sounds like the timer has developed a fault.
