What is a “piston reset tool”?Posted 7 years ago
A big screwdriver. Or a tyre lever.Posted 7 years ago
A plastic tyre lever works – thicker ones like Parks are good. Be careful with Shimano ceramic pistons and screwdrivers…Posted 7 years ago
ta for the replies… i think 🙂 All sorted now.Posted 7 years ago
Wooden clothes peg, disassembled, gives you two opposing wedges, works on Hopes so unless your Shimano are too oriental… 🙂Posted 7 years ago
Sharp metal tool plus ceramic piston equals possible expensive mistake. Stick an old set of pads in to protect the pistons and job’s a goodun.Posted 7 years ago
Large tyre lever is my tool of choicePosted 7 years ago
Get into the habit of levering them apart with a screwdriver before removing the pads….Posted 7 years ago
Used my car key this weekend when I had accidently pulled the front lever with the wheel removed….Posted 7 years ago
