Has anyone successfully had the battery replaced in their Garmin?

I went out of Saturday – battery indicating 100% charge initially and went dead within about 30 mins.

Has anyone used any company to replace and been 100% happy with the results?

If so, please let me know which company did the battery replacement.

    Thanks!

I’ve heard good things about satnavspecialist.co.uk

Never used them because by the time my Garmin battery has dropped to that sort of performance (about 4-5 years), there’s always a newer and far superior model.

My Touring was woeful compared to the new Edge Explore 2. And my Touring battery did the same as yours.

I’ve an edge touring that’s now 10 years old as far as I can work out. The battery is absolutely great but the casing has a big hole in it now where the power switch is 🙁 Only started in the past 4 or 5 weeks too

My 10yr old touring battery lasts around 4 hours max now…. Unfortunately I found this out mid ride in Wales having not used it for a few years….
