    Evening!

I’ve this week taken delivery of an Edge 800, and am currently planning some routes using Garmin Basecamp. I’ve worked out how to plot a route and view the elevation profile, but is there any way to view the total amount of climbing in the route?

Secondly, is Garmin Basecamp the best thing to be using for plotting new routes, or is there something better?

i use memory map to plot routes, but it aint free or that much better than free tools

garmin connect shows total accent as does sporttracks

theres some free online website maping tools that are prety good, dont use them myself but they are on this forum if you search

I have a 705 and use bikehike[/url] to plan route. I save as a GPXX file and import onto unit.
Not sure if it’s the same with the edge though.
