    Thanks for the tip all.

    For the people laughing at me. I did say a couple of hours plus. I didn’t say actually 2 hours. I didnt specify it was gels, just mentioned them – was just asking what people would recommend.

    And yes I do rides straight from work sometimes and yes after a couple of hours I need a boost. Not all our bodies are temples and at my age I feel a boost would do me the world of good mid/late on duringa ride.

    More likely to be bars I think – Torq ones look ok, but might try the lidl ones as have one next door! Edit… its Aldi that sells the Hike bars.. whoops!
