With riding being muddy as a muddy thing would a front crud catcher be any use or pointless? Who uses them opinions please?.

Frame mounted crud catcher plus a NeoGuard works for me. No more mud and water in the face from my front tyre.

neoguard (or old inner tube home made version) >> crud guard

Both > neoguard alone

Front Crud Catchers any use?

yes, they stop half the mud thrown up from your tyre hitting your face.

to stop the other half you could use a rear-facing arch-fender, something like a mucky-nut.

this'll stop the mud that's thrown up-and-forwards, that you then ride into.

they're less annoying/flappy than a neoguard.

Mucky nutz guard and a crudcatcher for me. Works well and keeps the mud out of my contacts

it also sort of depends on how long your forks are, the longer they are, the more you need either a neoguard or mucky nutz type thing as well.
if using short rigid forks a crud catcher may be enough.

Use both myself crud catcher then got a neoguard to stop the stuff flung forward coming back at me, my morning ride includes a fast down bit on the return and I'm in my going to work kit which I don't want splattered or a wet muddy dark place either so ride with full mud kit and take the flack.

Yes the Fast Fender works well.

So does the Neoguard.
