Quick and possibly stupid question for the IT crowd - anyone know if there’s a plug-mount Fritz!Repeater (2400?) with a UK plug, or are the all EU plugged? Google-fu letting me down. Ta!

I was only ever able to find EU plug repeaters, I suspect if you rent them from zen they'd be UK, but who wants to pay monthly for a basic mesh feature!

I bought a 2nd router same as the zen installed one and set it up as a repeater. Was £40 off eBay. Instructions online and zen helpline was good when I made a mess of setup.

Speaking of Zen, are they as good as they say? Fair premium over PlusNet (and we’re coming to a point where we’re about to come out of DSL contract)…

@toby1 I think the Zen repeaters are 3000s?

From a provision of broadband point of view I think I've raised one support ticket when we had a small period of flakiness, it was ry with quickly and efficiently. So zen are decent enough in that respect.

For the repeaters they provide, I'm lot sure of the hardware but I suspect the 3000s would make sense as they can swap the lead to a uk plug easily unlike the direct into point point 600/1200/2400, so yes I'd imagine that's what they'd use.

Only been with them 18 months but the efficiency with which they sorted out our install after PlusNet made a mess setting up our account was very reassuring from an ongoing customer service POV. I called them speculatively when PlusNet were late calling back about a scheduling issue and they had everything booked and ready to go before plusnet had even called back with a slightly crap resolution.

The fritz box seems more reliable than our old plusnet one was (which was mostly good) but time will tell mre on that.

I’m a new customer, a week in to an eighteen month contract, and everything so far has been perfect.

Been with them for years now (after being recommended on here) and never had an issue. Might try the two routers as an extender as signal isn't great on some parts of the house. The repeater plus UK adaptor makes for a very big sticky out thing on a wall socket!
