I’ve just bought one of those Fox DHX2 shocks from the PSA here, one end has bearings fitted which I’ve never seen and getting it seems like a bit of a job!

I had a brief go in my vice using sockets and it seems really tight, I stopped because I didn’t want to damage anything. Anyone done it at home without special tools?

There are som YouTube videos showing how a couple of bolts can be used.

I removed mine today with a bearing drift and a slide hammer.

have a look at the suspension companies,

usually some like tftuned have their own version, they do for the RS stuff

Thanks for the replies. I think I’ll send it off to J tech as the shock is tuned for a mega tower so will need retuning anyway. I’ve seen a video on YT of it being done but it’s less likely to get damaged if done with the proper tools.
