I’ve got a 2016 Fox 36 RC2 fork which has developed some play in the top of the outer leg.
It feels like a loose headset at the bars, but I can feel the rocking when I put my fingers around the top of the outer legs.
Anyone else had this? Is it just a worn bushing, or something come loose? The forks really aren’t old enough for it to be worn out, unless the bushings are known to wear fast?
Just wondering if I can fix it myself with one of their servicing kits.

    Thanks.

If its worn bushings its a job for a specialist, assuming they’re still under warranty, give Mojo a ring and see what they say.

I’d be sending them to Mojo for them to check out. Then if it’s a warranty problem they can sort it. Hopefully they’re not too inundated with X2s 😆

My 2015 36’s are over 18months old now (they’ve had a lot of use in that time) and they’ve just started to develop a few signs the bushings are worn. Just to give you an idea of how long mine have lasted.

I always do a lower service sooner rather than later, with new forks its the only way you can be 100% sure they have the correct amount of oil in them. Not saying this is the reason yours have developed play but it’s certainly a possibility, bike gets stored upside down as well.

The busing will knock if it is dry fox fork bushing sneed to be run wet
Turn bike upside down to live the bushings with the oil bath in the lowers and also to soak into the foam o ring
Or do a lower service and increase oil bath oil amount

Personally I remove my foam o rings and run slick honey on the bushing and instead of the Foam o ring
