I am going to head up to fort William with a few mates for the DH world cup, I am after recommendations for a camp site.
What I am looking for is a site I can park my camper and pitch a tent next to it, would like to be fairly close to the event aswell. Any ideas would be great.
    Thanks Ian

I’ll give you one to avoid – Glen Nevis, great setting but daylight robbery prices.

Fort Bill is surprisingly poorly served by campsites these days.

I’ve stopped here a couple of times and it’s been fine , owners are friendly, prices are fair and not too far away from Fort Bill DH track.

Continue driving along glen nevis, over the bridge and waterfall till you come to the layby with the no camping sign.
Camp there. We have for years and years. Good trees for hammocks etc.

There’s usually a basic campsite at Torlundy Farm for the world cup weekend. That’s about as close to the event as you will get, with a cycle path all the way.
