Juve kit wearing Newcastle* are under the kosh a little in the San Siro.

Yea I know it’s the other way around.

City off to a flying start in their CL defence then. 😆

Meanwhile, in the all important EFL trophy Reading beat Exeter 9-0. Get in there (*9).

You know you’ve been humped when in videprinter days that would go down as

    Exeter 0 Reading 9 (nine)

@caher Have you seen who allegedly wants to put money into the club.

Move over the Saudis, FSG, the Glazers, Cashley…….

UCL group stages seem as dull as ever, so many predictably one sided games. Can we just skip to the quarter finals please.

I’m worried that the most one-sided game might well be tomorrow night in the Allianz Arena

I’m not sure I can bear to watch it. We’re going to get absolutely humped!

I’m sure my darling wife will stick a bet on Bayern as it’s effectively free money, but it’s hardly worth it with odds of 1.4/1

Have you seen who allegedly wants to put money into the club.

The article describes him as a chancer – probably says it all really.

I’m going for a Harry Kane dive after 7 minutes, he’s playing in the right league to perfect it.

    @caher

Have a gander at the Rich Energy thread on here – chancer is putting it mildly.

Bizarre logo coincidence? Rich Energy and Whyte Bikes

Well that was absolutely nuts! 😳

Seemed Bayern just massively took their foot off the pedal. Looked like 2 fallen giants past their best.

Yeah they could have upped it for sure. United huffing and puffing. Poor defensively I guess they’re hoping Amrabat stiffens up the midfield as Eriksen and Casemiro don’t have the legs anymore, ok Eriksen probably never did.

Why is Toast of London doing post-match analysis?

Looks like the Berkshire sleeping giant has fallen asleep again. Big loss and already in the relegation zone.

Good day for us Tractor boys, a decent if nervy win taking us second in the table and Norwich getting spanked

Looks like Raya is Arteta’s number one then – three games on the spin. Brutal on Ramsdale!

    What a save though 👏👏👏👏

The was an amazing save! Not a bad problem to have for Arteta, which of those two keepers to play?

Not sure he did great before the goal though…..

Some game this. Richarlison winner off the bench in the 98th minute?

    great noises from Gary Neville!

    Some game this.

Both teams – pace, overlapping players on the wing, instant crosses into the area with players attacking the area. Almost like 1990s again.

2-2 at the end, great game, not sure i’m able to comprehend a Spurs team that aren’t super negative and surviving off freekicks and penalties.

Chelsea continue their form, another home loss, it’s going to be a long season for Pochetino by the looks of it!

Big Ange eh? I knew he was good, given the job he did at Celtic, probably under the radar for most on here, but he’s turned Spurs round even after losing Kane. There’s a great vid somewhere of a Celtic game, I think it was during covid when no fans were in, of him going absolutely mental at a full back for turning back and playing an easy square pass.

<p style=”text-align: left;”>And through it all! We’ll play the way we want to! With Big Ange Postecoglou,  whether I’m right or wrong. It’s Big Ange ball! You can keep your Pochettino, Conte and Morihno, and even Christian Gross. Cos everywhere we go, I’m loving big ange instead!</p>

Newcastle are dishing out a proper arse-kicking here

They could get into double figures at this rate

Easiest game we’ll play all season this. Should be double figures already. Sheffield Utd are the worst PL team I’ve seen in god knows how long.

vaguely irrational but can’t stand Sheffield Utd – stems from Warnock telling Gillespie to break someone’s legs against Reading when they were the two teams vying for the title.

So also being a Newcastle fan, this is very pleasant watching indeed.

I’ve said it before on these football threads, I look forwar from day someone breaks the existing PL goal record, fingers crossed it’s today as we’ve come close a couple of times in recent seasons.

It’s more telling that promoted teams are struggling more than ever, all 3 of them haven’t won a game yet this season, it’s getting to be a bigger and bigger jump between the championship and PL, can see at least 2/3 going down again, maybe first time ever we see all 3 promoted going down!

I wish Reading had 2 first team keepers and we could play both of them.

@argee I was thinking similar when writing my post. It feels like these big scorelines are getting more common in the PL.

Wasn’t it Notts County who gave Juve their old kit?

With four teams with an unbeaten record in the EPL after 6 matches, you’d think it would be a hard fought title race but I can’t see anyone toppling Manchester City this year. The race for second is definitely going to be tight with Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool all looking good.

I think his season may be cut short by Christmas at this rate.

Yeah can’t see Poch making it to January if things don’t improve.   I wish Poch well but not Chelsea,  so currently I’m happy.

Still too early to assess big Ange ball and rate spurs as contenders.  Fun times though,  as we earn back a bit of praise, admiration and respect.   Let’s see how we deal with Liverpool next week.
