Hey Chaps,

I've got a Mk10 Maxx-d, and all my other Exposure lights have allowed you to twist them a little when mounted - so you can adjust where the beam is pointed left to right.

The Mk10 doesn't allow this, if you twist the light body when its mounted to the bars, it jut unscrews from the mount.

Has anyone else found the same?

Comparing to a Mk9 I've got it looks like the thread depth on the Mk10 is deeper, so it doesn't bottom out the mount bolt, and give some float.

Cheers

Ricks

None of mine(or any of the borrowed ones I had last week for the puffer) have done this by design.

Only found they move around when the bolt is loose.

Other wise they stay as set when the cleat is torqued correctly.

Weird, I've had five Exposure big lights, and four have all rotated around the cleat. Have I just had four faulty ones, which had a brilliant unintended feature?!

can't really see why you would want it to anyway, i assume the maxx-d has a similar light spread as my six pack.
i have accidently rotated it when removing the light a couple of times and loosened the bolt which was annoying as it was a pain to get lined up perfectly when tightening back up. bit more carefull removing now.

I've got a six pack (light) and you can rotate that slightly on the mount. I've angled it slightly into the kerb for road riding because even on the low setting it tends to dazzle oncoming traffic.

Neither of my Maxx D's have revolved around the cleat/mount, unless the bolt has come loose. I've always lined them up and then tightened.

Have you tried doing repositing the light then doing up the bolt with an allen key with the light in the mount. There's a hole in the mount to get to the bolt

As above.
Loose enough bolt that you can point it, once there, go through hole in the mount to tighten, job jobbed.

My Revo light rotated slightly because the bolt bottomed out before the cleat was fully tight, so I had to add a small washer to stop it doing that.

handy to know about being able to tighten through the mount, cheers.
i never looked at it that closely, just chucked it on the bike and used it.
