Thanks SB & MM (and the rest of you!) I’ll be sure to keep this updated.

Had some positive news today. The vet has taken a look at Tilly’s leg. By all accounts it’s very swollen as you’d expect by now so she is reluctant to stand on it but he has supported her to get it into position and is very happy with the position of her leg.

She has eaten a bowl of food and seems quite comfortable and paying attention to the people walking around her at the vets. ..nosey bugger!

They need to run more x rays tomorrow (they didn’t want to sedate her a third day in a row) so we are just hoping they all look good. If they do we may have her home Monday.

It’s been a shit few days, finding it hard to not think ‘what if’ as they told us if this third attempt doesn’t work they may not be able to do a fourth :-/

So we are Feeling a little more positive now but we need to get good results from these x rays before I feel like we are on the right road.

    Tilly’s home! 🙂
X rays this morning were good … Picked her up this afternoon.

We have long road ahead of us now but hopefully we’ll get there.
She isn’t putting her leg down at the moment – probably because it’s so swollen so she is hopping around on 3 legs.
12 days of complete rest before her check up won’t be easy with another lab in the house and months of rehabilitation to come but hopefully it will all be worth it.

She seems a lot chirpier than we expected and seems glad to be home

Great news Stox—glad to hear she is on the road to recovery.
By the way, one fine looking lab

That’s great news Stox – woofers really don’t like going to the vet – they seem to know that bad stuff happens there. A bit like that haircut – oh well, could have been worse

She was nutting the door to get it open to actually get out of there !
Poor bugger didn’t understand the sign said ‘pull’ 🙂

She’s doing ok today. Catching up on her rest which I’d the best thing for her right now.
