    I recently found I was mainly reading the mag on my iPad, so in an effort to cut down on waste, I downgraded my subscription.

    However, is there a way to donate the £19 I’ve saved to STW, as I was happy with what I was paying?

    Don’t really want to buy any merchandise at the moment as that rather negates stopping the paper mag.

    Sure there was a link up at some point enabling this.

    Yep. Just after I’ve finished giving my bank details over to this Nigerian Prince I received an email from.

    I wish I could turn off the paper mag. I tend to download the .pdf for the bits that interest me and I feel a little bad about the thump the paper mag makes as it hits the bottom of the recycling bin

    I used to pass my paper copy to the kid in the next street, but he’s grown up and moved out.
    Then cancelled my paper subscription when it went all vanlife and coffee-table expensive.

    Restarted a paper subscription last September but I still can’t be bothered to read it, and Thump is not interested either. So – have re-cancelled and will then go digital only.

    Can’t even use the shiny paper to line the guinea pig cage.

    It’s a tricky one. I’ve just been comparing my iPad with the last printed issue I received (143 – which for me is one of the best I’ve seen recently) and the pictures in the mag do look much better than viewing on an iPad.

    I just find the iPad more convenient – I always have it with me, it goes back to the last article I was reading, doesn’t need decent lighting to read of an evening and I find it easier to just dip in and out of each issue.

    I have to create time to read the magazine. I think we are used to short and snappy content online so to pick up a magazine and read a few hundred words in an article needs some time at aside.

    I tend to leave a few copies my van, and will read them whilst on holiday or when I’m out with nothing to do for half an hour. I’ve got some copies and cycling UK magazines that are over 2 years old!

    I can’t be the only one?;

    I have the current issue of (whisper) Cranked which I’m saving for my holiday in August, so know what you mean.

    You’re not alone, I do this as well. I love getting the magazine because I’ll set aside a bit of quiet time, grab a coffee/beer (depending on time of day) and just sit there with my feet up. It forces me to stop and enjoy it rather than skim through like I do online.
