Has anyone tried to put these on a cross bike? I have 700×34 Hutchinson Bulldog tires if that helps.

I don't think they will fit with tyres bigger than 700×25.

They're far too narrow for that.

if you could it'd look about as good as an MTB does with mudguards, i.e. awful

I think the idea is they stop you getting covered in crappy water/sludge.

I suspect looking good didn't really come into it.

I've got big red mudguards on my hardtail and I think it looks ace!

I've read reviews that say they won't fit anything bigger than a 23mm tyre.

i have some on a road bike…..very tight fit. don't think they will work on anything fatter than 700*24.

    Designed for 700 x 23 tyres unfortunately

as there's more clearance on a cross frame they will fit, they're only a tight fit on a road bike because it's all tight, as it were

you'll need to find something to bodge them to as they're designed to strap round a fork/seatstay mounted brake, and as the guards are narrow the protection won't be the greatest

why bother riding off road if you don't want to get muddy?,getting muddy is part of the fun!

No it's not 🙄 It's just something that we have to live with here.

For a start, it means that it's a hell of a lot less hassle post-ride and you can stick your kit straight in the washing machine without it dying in a year.

Tried fitting mine before work this morning – would have taken me more than 5 minutes so gave up but the tollerances seem to be very small – only a few mm between the tyre and the guard.
