  • Creating a route – am I dreaming ?

I’ve got it into my head that there is an app or a website that will suggest a route if you give it a starting/ending point, a distance, and some parameters. I looked on Strava and Komoot and don’t see it. Am I dreaming? Am I blind?

komoot. ‘Plan a route’, or routes > plan new on a mobile. Think you have to signed in.

Strava but you need to be a premium member.

On the app: Click on Maps tab at the bottom and it’ll come up with routes based on your current location with an option to search for other locations There are other tabs within it called Routes, Length, Elevation and Surface where you can tell it your desired distance, terrain etc.

Same principle on the web version except Maps is up the top.

Thanks all. I have all those apps but I don’t see exactly what to do :-(.  But now I know I’m not mis-remembering I’ll poke around further !!

If you want a round-trip choose a start point and a halfway point and click “round-trip”

Thanks. I see that on the app but not on the desktop. Weird!

The Strava website and the Strava app have never met each other. I swear they are made by entirely different companies.

    Exactly this. Super frustrating.

My old Garmin Edge Touring gps unit would do this, just give a start point and a length and it would give you three options. I think it would even let you choose how hilly you wanted it , what type of roads / off road etc
