Hugh Dennis did the Etape recently as does Alain Prost pretty much every year, he is very good, Richard Krajicek, former Wimbledon champion, also did the Etape one year when I did it.
Davina Mcall announced on her twitter feed that she'd just got herself a Terry Dolan roadbike and was using it on a turbo trainer most nights and will be doing something for SportRelief with David Walliams.
The tall one from Trevor and Simon (I can't rember which was which) – I rember seeing him on TV in the eary 90's with an arm in a sling with a bust collar bone after a 'mountain bike accident'.
KEITH FLINT ROCKS KINESIS – posted on 3rd August – 9:03am
A little known fact is that Keith Flint [Prodigy legend] is a keen rider and that his chosen brand is non other than Kinesis!
A while back, Keith built himself up a rather nice XCPro2, pictured here and here. This is his favourite MTB and he can't get enough of it!
He was back on the blower last week and has ordered himsef up a Racelight KR-810 with a host of exotic components, including Reynolds DV46UL wheels and Oval Concepts finishing kit.
He's going to have a couple of NICE bikes! I'll post some pics as soon as it's built up.

Dermot Murgnahan rode the Etape Caledonia last year. Kevin Danegrous at Escape Route lent him a bike then teased him into buying it. No such thing as a free Cappucino at Escape Route.
I think it was Aggie from 'How Clean is Yer Hoose' that rode the Etape too.
that gormless looking bloke out of meet the fockers. I saw him stood by the podium on the TdF once. He's in that special club with lance that only rich and famous people are allowed in. I can't find it now but there's this club that him and the gormless bloke and robin williams and a load of big high flying american execs are in.
Wasn't George Orwell a cyclist? I seem to remember him saying something profound about being reminded that the world isn't a bad place whenever he sees someone on a bike?
