I’m after a new saddle bag for gravel/winter road bike. I have a Vel bag which is virtually the same as the castelli XL ones. It’s about 0.8L. To accomodate larger tube, folding pliers and a few other things I’d like to carry on those bikes I was looking for something just a bit larger. Maybe about 1L.

What I like – length – Ideally >170mm so I can get a mini pump in.
    Water resistance.
Strap that means I can clinch it down to compress and stop rattles.
    Nice big opening.

Does anything exist. I can find larger bags of a similar design but they don’t look like they have the length for a pump.

Silca xl, use co2 not a pump.

If you want something to put a pump in, I would suggest a frame bag, I have an apidura anyon x frame bag that has some velcro loops inside to hole a pump.

    +1 for the bontrager.

And +1 for take co2. Then get a smaller pump for just in case.

I have the 1l and more than enough room for tube, mucoff tool bag, co2 and a Lezyne micro pump and my phone.

The lezyne pump is small enough to go in the mucoff bag. And more than enough to get tyres up to a decent pressure.
