Could be.. could just be a pivot component that can be rotated to make it lower/higher/slacker/steeper as required a la Orbea Rallon etc..

Yes on the fly adjustment is the likely secret under the shock cover. On some pictures on German website I thought I saw a full floater style linkage between the swingarm and bottom shock mount through the seat tube in a Mondraker/Commencal style.

Anyway, will wait to see before I decide what next to buy
