As title, I'm desperate to know the difference between the BR 2250 and the BR 2300 wheel set? Can't find any info whatsoever!
Does anyone know?
Thanks
50 😆
Sorry 😳
No sure about the 2300, but I do know that the 2250 is the 710 rim on DT hubs and 2250 is supposed to refer to the weight in some way. So, maybe the 2300 just uses a slightly heavier hub (or maybe just different spokes).
Stevied - don't worry mate you made me lol!
Just had a look at the website, it's a pawl hub instead of the 240/350 style ring ratchet in the 2250. There might be other differences but that could be 50g difference alone (assuming that it's 2300g, it doesn't always follow) and the rims look the same.
Northwind your a star! I couldn't find that info anywhere! Forgive my limited knowledge but is it worth the extra money or is the pawl hub just as good as say a Hope?
Oh and thanks roverpig
Not sure! I had one of their wheelsets with the pawls in and it was fine, just a bit slower pickup and clunkier, and heavier. The 240/350 design is one of the best out there so it's definitely a good upgrade but I reckon the pawls would still be perfectly good. Better than average oe wheelsets.
I'd be trying to get a bit more info from Canyon on the other parts mind, it could be different spokes etc.
Thanks, tried in vain with Canyon, as it's a custom wheelset only made for the Dude they won't give out any info! Grrrrrrr
