British Cycling Partners with Lloyds Bank…..

So does this mean they’ve dropped Shell??

Shell wasn’t a title partner, I don’t think…do they not just sponsor the race squad?

Haha that giant horse doing a wheelie next to the smiling lady on a mountain bike looks silly.

Interesting that they use a gravity MTB-related lead image, when that side of the sport is the lowest of their priorities usually.

I think the image is from Lloyds’ advert from a while back: https://youtu.be/SIYtxIni4gs?si=mWJCt96UJbPerd94

Yeah, Lloyds were using this imagery in a previous ad campaign…makes sense to reuse it so there is that familiarity aspect…

Shell were – and remain – an “Official Partner”.
However since the HSBC deal ended, BC have been without a Lead Partner. Lloyds is now that Lead Partner.

It could be worse. Lloyds scores way lower on the carbon emissions per £1k saved than I’d expected – around a quarter of Barclays and a third of HSBC. They’re not much more than some banks that promote their sustainability like Monzo.

Revealed: Britain’s worst banks for emissions (and the best)

Is it because you need a mortgage to buy a bike these days?
