Bottom bracket has gone tonight and needs replacing.

Do I just get something basic (another SM-BB70) and accept I change it each year? – £20 a year

Or are their better options that will last a bit longer?

    What do you suggest?

Companies like Rose Bikes often knock them out at silly cheap prices, so may be worth checking for a bargain, otherwise Hope are a worthwhile (if expensive)alternative,we’ve sold hundreds over the last few years, and only replaced two lots of bearings in that time.

Personally I’d stick with the BB70, im getting 3 years out of mine. Hope is a reasonable alternative, but Im not convinced that they last much longer.
    Kings seem pointless bling.

Gusset EXT24. About the same price as retail BB70, but with replaceable bearings, and added bling.
