  • Blur LT build kits – will an XC kit be strong enough?

    Thinking of getting a Blur LT, just been looking at the bike builder on the SC website and am wondering about the XC build kits instead of the AM ones as they are quite a bit lighter.

    Would the xc kits be ok for a lighter rider, i ride mainly natural trails in the lakes… ie XC type stuff!

    Looks alright to me other than you might want to put some different tyres on. Something a bit wider with more tread.

    I bought the xc build. Have hammered it round Glentress, Innerleithen, Coed Y Brenin, Llandegla and Machynleth in last 6 months and it’s never even flinched. Only changes i have made from stock is a shorter stem and proper tyres ( mine came with Larsens on). Do it.
