Pretty sure with all the inn brands the price you pay includes all vat and import needed.

when I’ve ordered in the past the bikeinn price has included all duties. I think they have a UK distribution arm so anything you order is shipped to there by the company and then on to you as if you’d bought from the UK.

    from their FAQs

- For orders being shipped to countries within the European Union, VAT is already included in the product prices you see on our website.

    – For orders being shipped to countries out of the European Union, no VAT and no sales tax will be included in the product prices you see on our website and you will not be charged any taxes by us. However your packages may be subject to the customs fees and import duties of the country to which you have your order shipped. The courier will charge you any taxes or customs directly. As taxes and customs may also depend on product category as well as declared amount, we are not able to provide you with any further details. We would recommend you to consult your local Customs office, which will happily assist you with further information.

For the United Kingdom, the price on our website will be the final cost to you. There will be no additional VAT or duty charges requested on delivery by our carriers.

Just before I hit the buy button after trashing my XX1 AXS rear mech has anyone been charged extra VAT and import duty once the parts are delivered or are they using a UK distribution centre and the price you see is all you pay.
Which option are people choosing for delivery as Royal Mail are by far the cheapest

I bought a SID ultimate from them a month back and the price quoted was the price paid. No additional VAT or charges. £500+

Before you hit buy… unless you need one of those new fangled direct mount mechs, maybe go for the GX mech and a Ratio or Garbaruk cage to be within 10g and save £200 (both XX1 and GX prices from BikeInn)

Ive looked at the options available including the Garbaruk cage and cant see much saving between a new GX and the Garbaruk cage and an X01. Just deciding on which mech to buy but it wont be an XX1 which came with the bike.
Im a bit disappointed I cant just buy the part as its only the carbon cage part which has snapped at the jockey wheel. I thought I may be able to swap it for one of an Eagle mech but I’m told it cant be done

Thanks its the bit of the cage that bolts to the main body, the outer part, just above where it goes in the bottom jocky wheel. SRAM say is not a part you can buy.

The Garbaruk and Ratio cages come as a complete set inner and outer so that is by far the cheapest solution. No mech needed.

These cages fit all SRAM AXS 12 speed mechs so I am not sure what SRAM are on about with a GX not fitting. They don’t seem to sell the outer cage though so that seems correct but doesn’t stop you buying an aftermarket one.

I went with the Ratio Components version in GX as they also include new jockey wheels in the price. Took less than a minute to fit.

Thanks, is it just a bolt off bolt on job where it goes into the mech body ot is there any tech stuff to do. If it works then it may well be the answer as the rest of the mech seems ok

Super easy. You may just want to double check the general mech setup (I think I just did a bit of micro-adjust) but you’d have to do that with a new mech anyway.

Hopefully that is a good few hundred pounds saved an a UK business supported 🙂 I found them very helpful as I had a lot of questions before ordering and always got a quick reply. Happy Trails!

Has anyone bought a bike from BikeInn?

I think I want a specialized chisel and they are about £400 cheaper from them.

No one seems to pay import duties and I assume it’s the same on bikes as well as components?

Any more recent experiences with BikeInn and import duty etc?

Yep. Set of XM 1700 wheels last month. £440. No additional charges.

    Get it done. 👍

PS. Kudos for doing a search.

Yep used them twice recently, all good, no extras to pay. They just take a little longer than others to deliver.
