Bike ride ear worms, what you had recently?

Last night I had ‘Back once again with the renegade master’ (may not be actual title), the other week I had cest la vie by Bewitched.(Arrrrgghh!)

In both cases I have no idea why..

I noticed the towel rail warm for the first time this year last week. As a result my ride to work ear worm was the theme from Beverly Hills Cop.

A rather nasty mix of “The black parade” (My Chemical Romance) and ” I have seen the golden sunshine” (School type hymn)

At least I now know what an “ear worm” is. When I saw the thread title I was thinking along the lines of The Wrath of Khan (original) type monsters crawling into your ears on a ride!

The most annoying thing about ear worms is I often get just a line or a short phrase of a song…same words going round and round and round…argghhh

Whenever the weather is bad, i have a habit of singing Club Tropicana, in February, there was something about cycling home in a blizzard to “Club Tropicana, drinks are free, burning sunshine….”

Last ride it was Bankrobber by the Clash.
Can’t remember why. Got home and played it, sounded good.

This has been wedged in my head for about a week…

It used to be the theme tune from Garden Force. Now its ‘The Gonk’ from the end credits of Dawn of the Dead

**** paw patrol theme music, thanks to hoppy jrs obsession with it. Aargh.

Agadoo. Just as I set off the other day some sadistic monster of a man was singing it to his little kid, and then the damn thing was stuck in my head for the next three hours. Horrific.

Aside from Black Betty, which at least helps my cadence, the worst one recently was ‘La Vida Loca’ by Ricky Martin for about two hours.

Not bike riding but whilst surfing at Saunton a couple of weeks ago I had Salt-N-Pepa – Let’s Talk About Sex in my head for a good couple of hours.

Every so often I get “scream if you wanna go faster” by gerry hellibobble. But sung by lemmy. Usually leads to a good ride.

That went round my head for 2 days whilst cycling in Germany at the start of the month.

Trepanation is not all its cracked up to be.

Get the guitar part running around first, then find myself singing this bit:

I had Bouncy Feeling by Eggy as my lad was playing it as I left the house, found it on you tube and played it on my headphones in order to get rid.

Why, WHY?

Toto “Africa” for 80 miles after my cousin mentioned it….. The video hasn’t aged well and i kept getting flashes of it on a 20% climb. Probably just hallucinations

All I have in my chuffing head, EVERY DAY, is “Raa raa the noisy ruddy lion”.
