Bike on vueling flight

Wondered if they actually weigh bike bags? Are they strict about the 32 kg limit?

(before you give me packing advice, be aware you don’t know my wife….)

It’s not really the airline as such, it’s the airport that runs security and handles the bags. Once or twice I’ve got away with check in staff saying “do you know how much it weighs?” and I’ll hazard a guess at 26-27kg which they accept but most of the time it goes on a set of scales somewhere along the way.

No idea how strict they are about the weight limit though, if you’ll be made to take stuff out or if they’ll charge extra per kg. The 32kg limit is there for manual handling reasons, not aircraft overload reasons.
