I mean, I’ll probably stick it on here and eBay anyway, but wondered if there was anywhere else worth trying.

Did someone say stealth-ad? It’s a Carlton Pro-Am, mint, like it was wheeled out of Williams Cycles in, I reckon 1980-ish(?), put in a garage, and then put in the back of a car to be taken to the tip in 2019, whence it was rescued by me. Everything original and basically unused, down to the tyres and tubes.

It’s a lovely, lovely thing, but too under-geared and under braked for my new hilly home.

Sounds like it would be suitable for l’eroica so you could contact vintagevelo or l’eroicasteel.

If you are on Facebook there is a ‘Carlton Cycles of Worksop’ group which regularly passes on examples of the bike marque around. I bought a 1980 Pro-Am a few years ago as it was my first ‘proper’ bike and I still love to ride it occassionally as a trip down memory lane! They aren’t worth a fortune but in good original condition are sought after on there.
