  • Best place for Fox service
  • TFT or…….?

Stripping my ebike down for a motor refurb/protection and I’m doing the bearings while it’s out of action. Forks are getting on for a year old, so thought I’d send them off at the same time.

Any other upgrades I should be thinking of while I’m at it damper etc? Not going down the coil route unless someone seriously convinces me otherwise – concerned about getting the right spring weight – took me long enough to get the Ohlins TTX right. Fox Factory 38’s

On that note – worth getting the TTX coil shock done at the same time, or not much to be gained from a coil shock service – it’s over 5 years old and never been touched?

Fox direct – I sent in a few things to them – My X2 was replaced with a completely new one.

Considering the amount of posts I see saying these £1000+ forks come from the factory incorrectly packed with grease etc, are Fox the best people to send them back to?

Given the insane cost of insured postage, the place nearest you.

Slick and Slide in Macc are good for servicing generally.

    May not do Ohlins though.

Fox servicing centre is the former Mojo place in Risca or Silverfish in Cornwall IIRC? They don’t go back to the factory in Taiwan.

Macc isnt a million miles away to do a drop off

    Well, quite, but still….

I recently sent mine to fox directly. I sent them with a good few days leeway before I needed them back, but they vanished into a black hole with the courier for a few days, eventually turning up abandoned in a big pile of parcels on the industrial estate where the service centre is. Someone from one of the units there ended up distributing all the parcels they found. Fox then expedited my service to get the fork back to me on time, so the service from them was great! The courier not so good!! Stupidly used evri because the drop off point is convenient 🙄

I’ve just had my forks and shock serviced by slick and slide. Easy to book in, same day drop off and pick up, and cheaper than TFTuned to boot.

Usually let 18 Bikes send ours off. Think they use Slick and Slide. Called in at the weekend and it seems they will be doing Fox servicing in house going forward.

Going to drop the Levo in after the Alps for them to do the 38s

Took mine to Fox Factory in Woking, they were superb to deal with. I got a new CSU on the 38 fork and all new internals for the X2 under warranty, collected my fork the day after I dropped it off and the shock was sent to me within a week.

I use jtech suspension, always had good service and advice from them. Sending you can get a label through them using DPD who seem to be one of the better couriers.

I still use TF as had lots of good service in the past. Tend to go with the option where they arrange to the courier both ways.

Fox direct. I got lucky and they rebuilt my 36 free after something went wrong when I attempted a lowers service and it dumped far more oil than expected! Very quick turnaround and good communications.

Another vote for Slick and Slide here, had forks and shock done be Rick, really pleased with service, communication, price and performance.
