We’re looking for a campsite for half term. The boys want the coast, my heavily pregnant wife wants nice loos and maybe a cafe.

We’re in Sheffield and 2.5 hours is probably the max travel time.

    Any ideal suggestions?

We stopped here (near Lancaster) for a night on the way home from Cornwall to Aberdeen a couple of years ago an a recommendation – would have happily spent a few more nights there:

Campsite Near Morecambe Lancaster Carnforth The Shore – Red Bank Farm

The views from the ‘upper’ field are fantastic in the evening!

We’re booked in here near Whitby for 3 nights at the end of May:
    Beacon Farm

Never been before but the reviews are good and it was only £19 per night for 2 adults, 3 kids, 2 dogs in a big tent.
Has a play area, near the coast, fire pits allowed and it’s part of an ice cream dairy/cafe place.
