Worst mode in my opinion. Pigeons is good for fast and frantic. Operations if you have an hour or so. Conquest or domination for a 30 minute game.

Did a 2 hour game of Operations the other day. It was all getting a bit tense towards the end. I’d echo the above – forget your K/D ratio. Battlefield is all about the objectives. Support your squad & team with heals and resupplies to get the points ticking over. If you’re a scout keep firing those spot flares. Assault – make sure you’re laying down mines on likely vehicle routes or blasting new routes through to the objectives. Follow the orders of the squad leader, or keep making sure you set them if that’s you. Basically just keep your score ticking over.

    What Pottatohead said.

Just be prepared to die but you’ll get better.

So what is a spot flare meant to do? Also I don’t have a headset is this a must for these operations?

They show up the enemy on the minimap within a radius. Fire them towards the objectives and you’ll get points for kill assists. They also burn people so you’ll get points for that too. When you spawn, pop a couple in the air and then start shooting as normal. I’d say it seems less common these days for people to communicate outside of their friends list so headset not a must.

Hmm, irrelevant kd sounds good to me. Last BF I played was 2 and I’m getting seriously disillusioned with Planetside 2. As long as there is no other mmofps I may as well go for the next best thing. Reckon its up to it?

Nah team death match is best for beginners , operation is way too confusing

I’d say Rush is best for beginners. Most of the action is centred in 2 areas so you know where to go to find the action, and you generally only have to worry about looking in one direction when you spawn. Team Death Match you’re getting killed from all angles.

Yes but I think you learn quickly as to why you are getting killed from all angles

Trouble is deathmatch is almost the opposite of what BF is meant to be about. Running round blindly killing is much more CoD than BF. Don’t think it is its strength.

Lol played Cod for years but keen to learn the intricacies of operations just find it hard to pick up what’s what. Hadn’t realised until yesterday that you could be brought back to live by a medic if you don’t reswpawn. Think I need some instructions with this game!

I had no idea when I started , all the stuff about spotting enemies , resupplying your squad etc . There are some good videos on battlefields website , 5 of them I think for beginners .

Rinsing it now!! Just came top of the leader board for the first time. Mostly medic and an occasional scout. Enjoying playing Rush the most at the moment but may get into some longer games now I’ve got the hang of it.

Just started playing this. Bought a second hand PS4 before Xmas and got Battlefield as a present. Haven’t done any gaming for years, CoD black ops was the last thing I really played and I was mediocre at best at that. This is ace, but bugger me, it’s hard (fnar fnar)
